<p>In what can be an inspiring career journey for many, Indian-origin Dhruv Loya, who recently graduated from the University at Buffalo after studying Biomedical Engineering, finally got his dream job at Tesla.</p>

<p>However, the journey was not easy. Loya looked for jobs for five months and sent 300+ applications to Tesla and also gave 10 interviews before he was finally able to crack the final interview.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Loya hails from the Indian city of Pune and as soon as he got the job, he took to the social media platform LinkedIn to share his happiness and narrate his struggles and journey.</p>

<h2><strong>Loya shares his journey from Pune to Tesla</strong></h2>

<p>"I finally got a job!" announced Loya on LinkedIn. In the post, he spoke about how he sent more than 500 cold emails, submitted more than 300 applications and sat for 10 interviews before he got a job offer as Powerwall Technical Support Specialist at Tesla.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Despite having three internships, a good GPA, and active extracurriculars, I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d be unemployed for five months. I lost my lease, my health insurance, and constantly felt the ticking clock of my visa status, knowing I could be forced to leave the U.S. at any moment. For months, I moved between friends’ apartments, slept on air mattresses, and saved every dollar I could to get by," he added.</p>

<p>Sharing advice for young professionals who are still hunting for jobs, he said, "I know the job market is very tough, especially for international students. My advice to anyone facing this struggle is to treat applying to jobs as your 9-5, but make sure to use your evenings and weekends to unwind and do things you enjoy. I understand how emotionally draining this process can be."&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also shared some resources which helped him secure the job. He said that one can use "Hunter.io for cold emailing, LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, and Jobright.ai for job searches, and ChatGPT+ to tailor resumes and cover letters". “Just keep manifesting, stay positive, and believe that things will fall into place!” he added.</p>

<p>Reacting to his post, several LinkedIn users said that they had similar experiences and congratulated him on the job. “Congrats Dhruv! I’m going through the same here in Australia. Have only just started and it’s going to be a rough time ahead for me as well. Thank you for the advice and all the very best for your career," wrote a user.</p>
