Majesco will go ex-dividend on December 23 and the record date for dividend has been fixed at December 25. Earliest Dividend Payout will be done on December 30, Majesco said.

Majesco said the interim dividend payout is restricted to the quantum of free reserves as of September 30, ie Rs 2,788.4 crore or Rs 974 per share.

As a first step, distribution of balance cash of Rs 103 crore to the shareholder base of 28.577 million will be carried out as expeditiously as possible subject to board and regulatory approvals.

On monetisation of real estate, it said this could take longer i.e. over a year and depending on real estate market conditions. Post monetisation of real estate, the Company will decide best method for distribution of sale proceeds to shareholders.

The Majesco share price was trading at Rs 982.00, up by Rs 8.40 or 0.86 per cent.

The rupee strengthened by 0.26% to 71.11 against the dollar, while the benchmark 10-year bond yield was trading at 6.57%, versus the previous close of 6.64%.

Shares in other Asian markets also edged higher as economic stimulus boost around the world, including monetary easing by the US Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank, eased fears over a global slowdown.

The local indexes, however, were set for their worst week since early May, after a surge in crude prices triggered heavy selling in stock markets earlier this week.

Among stocks, Yes Bank lost by 5.4 per cent to Rs 60.60 per share while ICICI Bank was down by 2.7 per cent, IndusInd Bank by 2.5 per cent and State Bank of India by 1.8 per cent.

Tata Steel and JSW Steel were down by 2.4 per cent and 2.2 per cent respectively.

However, those which showed some gains were FMCG majors Britannia and Hindustan Lever, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel and Asian Paints.

Meanwhile, Asian shares turned lower after the US Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points. It was the second Fed rate cut this year.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia Pacific shares outside Japan fell by 0.36 per cent. Hong Kong shares shed by 0.96 per cent but Japan's Nikkei rose by 1.01 per cent.

Asian shares took a hit after Powell said each member would write a new &quot;dot plot&quot; rate path ahead of the March meeting and that he wouldn`t want to prejudge the outcome, indicating the possibility of a rate hike in March.

MSCI`s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan slipped 1.06 percent.&nbsp;

The weak spell in domestic markets lingered on apprehensions over state-run banks after the finance ministry set a 15-day deadline for banks to take pre-emptive action on operational and technical risks, following a $2 billion fraud at Punjab National Bank.

The ministry`s Department of Financial Services also ordered state-run lenders to comb through their bad loans of more than 500 million rupees ($7.68 million) for potential fraud.

&quot;In the short-term, these finance ministry directives could create panic in the market,&quot; said Sumit Pokharna, deputy vice president, Kotak Securities.

&quot;There are many loans which are more than 500 million rupees and that could be a problem now, but it is definitely a good step in the long run.&quot;

Investors are also looking out for key domestic economic data this week including Oct-Dec gross domestic product (GDP) due later in the day. A Reuters poll forecast GDP expansion at 6.9 percent, the fastest in 2017.

The broader NSE Nifty was down 0.52 percent at 10,499.75 as of 0604 GMT, while the benchmark BSE Sensex was 0.48 percent lower at 34,180.61.

The Nifty PSU Bank index fell as much as 2.7 percent before recovering somewhat, dragged by PNB and Bank of India which fell as much as 6.46 percent and 5.4 percent, respectively.

Tata Motors Ltd was down 1.4 percent after Morgan Stanley suggested avoiding automakers and related component manufacturers that are exposed to the EU premium car market. A top German court ruled on Tuesday in favour of allowing major cities to ban heavily polluting diesel cars.

However, the information technology stocks eked out some gains, with Infosys Ltd rising as much as 1.6 percent.&nbsp;

Indian shares hit record highs on Friday, with Reliance Industries and Tata Steel leading the gains, as higher derivatives rollover led to strong follow-up buying in index heavyweights.

The broader NSE Nifty rose as much as 0.65 per cent to a record high of 9,572.25, while the benchmark BSE Sensex gained as much as 0.73 per cent, also touching a life-high of 30,975.52.

Consumer firm ITC, which is slated to report March quarter results later in the day, gained as much as 1.55 per cent.

Meanwhile, downstream oil companies lost some ground.

On Friday, the Nifty ended flat at 9,173.75, while the benchmark Sensex fell 0.09 per cent to 29,620.50. Both indexes gained 0.7 per cent for the week.

Indian shares rose for a second consecutive session as lenders such as State Bank of India rallied after finance minister Arun Jaitley said the government would soon announce new measures to tackle non-performing assets (NPAs).

Lenders also got a boost from expectation of good demand for Yes Bank&#39;s up to $750 million share sale announced on Thursday.

But broader sentiment remained cautious, with the NSE Nifty poised to record its first weekly loss in three, retreating from a record high hit last week.

&quot;Yes Bank&#39;s Qualified Institutional Placement yesterday was subscribed at almost 1,500 rupees per share and this has improved the sentiment in the sector, resulting in a rally in bank stocks. The finance minister&#39;s statement on the NPAs issue too was a positive,&quot; said Rakesh Tarway, head of research at Reliance Securities Ltd.

The broader Nifty was up 0.44 per cent at 9,126 by 0510 GMT, while the benchmark Sensex was 0.52 per cent higher at 29,484.97.

ICICI Bank and State Bank of India were among the top gainers on the Nifty 50 index, rising more than 2 per cent each after Jaitley&#39;s comments.
