"A rare medical anomaly has come to light where a foetus was seen developing inside the stomach of a 40-day-old infant. It is called ‘Foetus in Foetu’. The infant has undergone surgery and his condition is stable," Dr Aziz told ANI, while talking about this rare phenomenon. The child has also been discharged from the hospital.&nbsp;

In medical language, 'Foetus in Foetu' means the presence of a foetus in the stomach of a child. It is highly rare and happens only in one out of 500,000 patients. &nbsp; &nbsp;

The Department of Posts has for the first time delivered mail using a drone as part of a pilot project in Gujarat's Kutch district, covering a distance of 46 km in 25 minutes, officials said on Sunday.

The mail was sent by the drone from Habay village in Bhuj taluka to Ner village in Bhachau taluka of Kutch district by the postal department under the guidance of the Union Ministry of Communications, a release issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in Ahmedabad said.

"With the success of this pilot project, it will now be possible to make postal deliveries by drone in future," it said.

"Keeping pace with modern technology, the Indian Postal Department has successfully tested for the first time in the country's postal history a pilot project to deliver mail with the help of drone technology in Kutch district of Gujarat," the PIB said.

As per the release, it took 25 minutes for the parcel to reach the destination located 46 km from the originating point.

It was a medical parcel, as per the information shared on Twitter by Union Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan.

The pilot project specifically studied the cost of delivery by drones and the geographical location between the two centres, as well as possible coordination among staff during the delivery process, including possible roadblocks, the release said.

If the experiment is commercially successful, the postal parcel delivery services will be faster, it added.

For 1st time, India Post delivers mail using drone in Gujarat under pilot project

Speaking exclusively to WION, Pakistan Indus water commissioner said, "The talks are a part of treaty obligation&nbsp;that we have to fulfill under Indus water treaty. It is a continuous process. So, it should continue, but in a meaningful manner. In this way, we can resolve issues bilaterally. It also depends on the Indian side on how they respond." &nbsp;

This is the second Pakistani delegation to visit India in last few weeks. Earlier this month, a Pakistani delegation visited New Delhi for Shanghai Cooperation Organization's (SCO) Regional Anti-Terror Structure (RATS) meet. &nbsp;

During the March Indus Water Commission meet, Indian side underscored that all its projects are fully compliant with the provisions of the Indus Water Treaty and provided technical details in support of the position. Both sides also discussed the issue of the Fazilka drain and Pakistan assured that all necessary actions will continue to be taken to ensure the free flow of Fazilka drain into the river Sutlej. &nbsp;

Pakistan`s Commissioner of Indus Waters Syed Mehr Ali Shah said, "This would be the 118th bilateral meeting at the PCIW level. Earlier, both countries held three-day talks in Islamabad on March 2-4, 2022," The News International reported.

He further said that the Pakistan delegation would not visit any hydropower project being constructed on Pakistan rivers such as Jehlum and Chenab rivers. However, both sides would also hold further talks on some projects which in Pakistan`s viewpoint are not as per the provisions of the Indus Waters Treaty 1960.

The delegation will come to India through the Wagah border wherein the two countries would hold the PCIW level talks in New Delhi on May 30, and 31 and then will return to Pakistan on June 1.

Notably, the 116th meeting of the India-Pakistan Permanent Indus Commission was held in New Delhi on 23-24 March 2021.

"You will also be surprised to know that out of our total unicorns, 44 came up last year. Not only that, 14 more unicorns were formed anew in 3-4 months this year. This means that even in this phase of the global pandemic, our startups have been creating wealth and value," he said.

Noting that the unicorns are diversifying, Modi said they are operating in many fields like E-commerce, Fin-Tech, Ed-Tech and Bio-Tech.

Today, India's startup ecosystem is not limited to just big cities; entrepreneurs are emerging from smaller cities and towns as well. This shows that in India, the one who has an innovative idea, can create wealth," he said.

Satheesh Reddy, Chairman DRDO told WION. He said that this bulletproof vest was being developed as a 'DIA'(DRDO Industry Academia) effort, in one of the ten DIA centres in the country. He was speaking at the concluding event of India's first-ever privately-run Defence Expo, held in Chennai.&nbsp;

Referring to the ongoing changes in India's Defence industry, he said that the industry had reached a level where they were building to meet the specifications as put forth by the customers or users. He pointed out that missiles, bombs, radars, ammunition and guns are being manufactured in a big way by the private industry, as opposed to the earlier times, when solely state-run organizations used to perform this task.&nbsp;

Hailing the ongoing development of the 155 mm x 52 Cal Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS), Dr Reddy said that this Indian gun was going to be the world's longest-range artillery weapon of its kind. This weapon is being developed for the Indian Army, by DRDO in partnership with private firms Bharat Forge and Tata Power SED.

"As part of Government support for the private defence sector, nearly 300 private industries have used DRDO facilities for testing. There are also special funding schemes provided by the Departments of Defence Production and R&amp;D to boost private sector capabilities" he elaborated. The DRDO chief also mentioned that there are nearly 2000 Tier 1 &amp; 2 defence industries in India, while the Tier 3 industries are over 10,000 in number.&nbsp;

Titled "Defence &amp; technology Expo Empowering MSME" the event was organized by Swatantra Foundation, a think tank based in the Southern Indian city. "Our focus for this event is to connect MSMEs with large Defence manufacturers through B2B meetings to create business opportunities,” said S. Ramasubramanian, Founder &amp; President of Swatantra Foundation. The event brought together Indian Micro Small and Medium Industries(MSMEs) and large defence manufacturers to create business opportunities, where the former can supply components for the latter.&nbsp;

An island has become the center of conflict between India and Sri Lanka, the island in focus is the Katchatheevu island, the issue begun in pre-independence India till date, it is one that has not been resolved between the two south Asian nations.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. This is the right time to take action in this regard, I'm duty-bound to remind the Prime Minister (Modi) about this.”

The demand to retrieve Katchatheevu has been a long-standing one. But significantly, this time the demand has come up at a time when Sri Lanka is facing its worst economic crisis, with the inflation rate as high as 33.8 per cent in April 2022.

Where is Katchatheevu?

Katchatheevu is a small uninhabited island in Palk Strait, that connects the Bay of Bengal to the Arabian Sea. It is a disputed territory between Sri Lanka and India, claimed until 1976 by India, and administered by Sri Lanka at the moment.

Island’s history

Katchatheevu island was formed due to volcanic eruptions in the 14th century.&nbsp;

The Raja of Ramnad (present-day Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu) owned Katchatheevu island and it later became a part of the Madras Presidency.

In 1921, both Sri Lanka and India claimed this piece of land for fishing and the dispute remained unsettled. The 285-acre land was jointly administered by India and Sri Lanka during British rule.&nbsp;

What is the Katchatheevu island issue?

Fishermen of both countries have been fishing in each other's waters without conflict for a very long time. The issue emerged when India-Sri Lanka signed maritime boundary agreements. The agreements marked the international maritime boundary of India and Sri Lanka.

The agreement aimed to facilitate resource management and law enforcement in the Palk Strait. Now, Indian fishermen were only allowed to use the island for resting, net drying and the annual St. Anthony’s festival. They are not permitted to use the island for fishing. However, Indian fishermen continued trespassing the Sri Lankan water boundary, searching for a better catch in the area.

The next few decades went well but the problem turned serious when fish and aquatic life in the Indian continental shelf depleted, which resulted in an increased number of Indian fishermen in the region. They are also using modern fishing trolleys which harm marine life and the ecosystem.

LTTE era and restrictions on movement

During the LTTE (LiberationTigers of Tamil Eelam, a separatist group in Sri Lanka) era, the &nbsp;Sri Lankan government restricted the easy movement of Sri Lankan fishermen in waters raising military operations issues. 
&nbsp;In 2009, Sri Lanka started heavily guarding its maritime boundary in the Palk Strait. It was done to reduce the possibility of the return of Tamil insurgents to the country.

The Indian fishermen considered this an opportunity. But, with the end of the war in 2010, Sri Lankan fishermen again started their movement in Palk Bay and reclaimed their lost legitimate territory.

Centre vs state of Tamil Nadu on this issue

In 1974, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi signed four Maritime Boundary Agreements between 1974-76 with her counterpart Srimavo Bandaranaike, Sri Lankan President, and ceded Katchatheevu Island to Sri Lanka.&nbsp; 
In response, in 1991, a resolution was adopted by the Tamil Nadu Assembly demanding the retrieval of Katchatheevu island through the resolution.

In 2008, the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa dragged the centre to the Supreme Court and appealed to nullify the Katchatheevu agreements. She stated that two treaties between the countries that gifted Katchatheevu to Sri Lanka are unconstitutional.

Humanitarian and Livelihood Concerns

About 10 miles northeast of Rameshwaram, the island is used by Indian fishermen to dry their nets, catch fish and rest. Frequent arrests on the border have increased and Sri Lankan authorities said that they are protecting their maritime boundaries against poaching, and securing the livelihood of Sri Lankan fishermen. Both sides ensure to not use force under any circumstances. However, the violent situation remains the same.
