On Thursday, the number of cases rose to 2,836,925 after 69,652 fresh cases were registered within a span of 24 hours.

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said on Saturday that the recovery rate has improved, recording a surge of over 58% in the country. He also confirmed that out of five lakh people who tested positive for coronavirus, 3 lakh people have already recovered.
