The Kerala High Court on Tuesday postponed the hearing over the anticipatory bail application, moved by Sunil Kumar, the main accused&nbsp;in connection with the Malayalam actress&#39; alleged rape and molestation case, till March 3, ANI reports.

Meanwhile, the car in which the actor was abducted, is being examined by forensic department in Aluva&#39;s SP Office, according to ANI.

Earlier on Monday, Kumar had filed an anticipatory bail plea before the Kerala High Court pleading for an opportunity to be given a fair and just hearing.

The Aluva court had sent Sunil and one other accused arrested to a 14-day judicial custody yesterday.

The alleged rape&nbsp;and abduction of a popular Malayalam actress&nbsp;by a gang of men late Friday night in her own car has&nbsp;shocked the film industry.&nbsp;

&quot;An FIR has been registered with sections of rape, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy and relevant sections of the IT Act,&quot; a senior police officer was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

Police said the actor&#39;s medical examination has confirmed rape, according to TOI.

The accused men got into the actress&#39; car near Athani in Angamaly and assaulted her till the car reached Palarivattom in Ernakulam. The men allegedly took photos and videos of her to blackmail her.

According to police, the actress was held in the car for an hour, after which, she was dropped near her residence at around 10:30 pm, ANI reported. &nbsp;

The incident has been roundly condemned by the film fraternity. Several actresses from the industry took to social media to express their horror and shock over&nbsp;the incident.

Shashi Tharoor on Monday rued the fact that the incident took place in Kerala, inarguably the state with the most educated populace in India. &quot;This is an India-wide problem and that it is now happening in Kerala too is very sad. Somehow we have become a cultural state, an educated state but we are losing our values, we are losing our capacity,&quot; he told ANI.&nbsp;

&quot;The horrible thing about this kind of crime in this country is that the people make the victim feel ashamed. That&#39;s why so many women don&#39;t come forward. They don&#39;t file their case. We must applaud this actress who has come forward. She had the courage to say that this wrong must be corrected,&quot; he added.
