Basal cell carcinoma is a non-melanoma - which, according to experts, is less likely to spread - and is caused by overexposure to the sun or sunbeds. Treatment for non-melanoma skin cancers is successful in 90% of cases.&nbsp;<br />
Jackman assured the fans that basal cell carcinomas are the "least dangerous" in the world of skin cancer but said he hoped his scare reminds people to be sun-safe.<br />

"Please wear sunscreen, it is just not worth it, no matter how much you want a tan. Trust me!" he said.</p>

"[The doctors] saw something that was a little irregular, so they took a biopsy and they`re getting it checked," Jackman said in the video, adding that if he is photographed wearing the nose bandage, not to worry.<br />

He wrote along with the short video, "A couple of notes: please get skin checks often, please don`t think it can`t happen to you and, above all, please wear sunscreen."</p>

<p>Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has again called out to his followers to wear sunscreen after posting his sixth treatment for skin cancer.</p>

<p>The 48-year-old posted a picture of himself with a bandage over his nose on Twitter and Instagram.</p>
