Robin Wright or as she is known popularly by the name of her most famous character, Claire Underwood of ‘House of Cards’, will now take a break from acting as the series gets over on November 9, that is today.&nbsp;

Robin was a part of the hit Netflix series for six years, moulding herself into the famous character that went on from being US President's wife to become the President herself.&nbsp;

Speaking at Netflix’s See What’s Next event in Singapore, she confirmed the news of her break from acting. She plans on switching focus on directing films.

Would you believe she turned down the role when she was narrated her part? &nbsp;“I wanted to do movies,” she said but was convinced by director David Fincher to take this up. He told her, “Don’t you want to be a part of a revolution?” 
&nbsp; 
At the event, she said, “Fincher educated me,” &nbsp;and added, “TV now isn’t what it used to be in the ‘80s. There was a difference, and films were always given more respect. But House of Cards, not only changed television, it revolutionised how TV is viewed.”

“David Fincher created a certain style. We couldn’t use certain lenses, we couldn’t use steadicams and certain colours. We couldn’t use a certain shade of the colour red,” Robin said.&nbsp;

‘House of Cards’ became the first ‘television show’ to win an Emmy that was never aired on TV. It made Robin one of the world’s highest-paid TV actors off it. She won a Golden Globe for her performance as Claire, the wife of Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey in the show.&nbsp;
