When I opposed them, they used to harass me."</p>

<p>The revelations from Dutee came&nbsp;a day following an 18-year-old Ruchika Mohanty's suicide, a history undergraduate student from Cuttack, due to ragging. She had written in her suicide note that she was mentally tortured and ragged by three&nbsp;seniors and, hence, committed suicide after not being able to take it anymore.&nbsp;The suicide has led to a&nbsp;huge controversy in Odisha, with several reactions pouring in from all corners.</p>

<p>Sharing more horrifying details on being ragged, Dutee further opined, "The incident had an impact on my mental condition. It is very difficult to remain focused on sports after the incidents of ragging and those who survive this stay in the hostel. But many give up and go back home."</p>

<p>"When I used to complain to the hostel in-charge, I used to be scolded. It used to take a mental toll on me. I was helpless at that time," the Olympian&nbsp;added.</p>

A 28-year-old student of Jawaharlal Nehru University, a prestigious educational institute in India, has accused a student activist of raping her on Saturday (August 20).<br />

The woman, a first-year doctorate student, alleged that Anmol Ratan, who is also a JNU student, raped her in a hostel room on the university campus.<br />
<br />
Police lodged a case of rape and criminal intimidation against Ratan on Sunday (August 21).<br />
<br />
Ratan is a member of the All India Students&#39; Association (AISA), a left-wing student organisation.<br />
<br />
AISA, meanwhile, said it has expelled Ratan from its organisation.<br />
<br />
&quot;AISA takes serious note of the fact that Anmol Ratan, a leading activist of AISA, is facing a criminal complaint of sexual assault. He is, henceforth, expelled from the primary membership of AISA.&nbsp;We stand by the complainant in her fight for justice,&quot; Ashutosh Kumar, AISA Delhi State Secretary, said.<br />

The complainant told police that she had posted on her Facebook profile that she wanted to watch a movie named &#39;Sairat&#39; and asked if anyone had a CD of it.<br />

Ratan apparently messaged her saying that he had a copy. Thereafter, he picked her up on the pretext of giving her a CD of the film and took her to Brahamaputra Hostel, where he stays.<br />

She said in the complaint that he offered her a spiked drink and allegedly raped her. He also threatened her and asked her to not report the matter.<br />
