<p>According to media reports, McCarthy was sitting outside the Nationwide branch when one of the McDonald’s guards asked him to move away. McCarthy reportedly refused to comply, which prompted the aggressive behaviour of the guards.</p>

<p>“I told them I was outside the bank, not McDonald’s and so I had nothing to do with them but then one of them came out with a bucket of water with bleach in it, I could smell it,” McCarthy was quoted as saying by local media.</p>

<h2><strong>Conflicting accounts by police and Penny’s lawyers</strong></h2>

<p>Conflicting accounts have emerged over Neely’s behaviour on the New York subway car. According to Penny’s lawyers, Penny put Neely in a fatal chokehold only after he felt severely threatened. According to Penny, the victim shouted, “I’m gonna’ kill you” and said he was “ready to die” or go to jail for life. “He was yelling in their faces saying these threats,” Penny said in a video released by his attorneys. “I just couldn’t sit still.”</p>

<p>However, as per police sources quoted by ABC News, Penny was not specifically threatened by Neely and the latter “had not become violent and had not been threatening anyone in particular.”</p>

<p>Defence attorneys representing the US marine expressed optimism outside the court regarding the possibility of their client being acquitted. Defence attorney Thomas Keniff stated, “We are a long way off from trial, but all the evidence we’ve seen is that our client acted under the law.”</p>

<p>In a bizarre incident caught on body cam of police, a 34-year-old homeless man can be seen drowning while three cops watched at Tempe Town Lake in the US state of Arizona, as per a video and transcript released to the public on Monday.&nbsp;In the disturbing video, Sean Bickings, the man, went into the lake in front of the officers on May 28. Bickings can be seen climbing the fence and slowly vanishing into the lake. The police officers can also be heard telling him that swimming is not allowed in the lake. But he continues to go for it under the Elmore Pedestrian Bridge. In the incident, multiple investigations have been launched. Till the results come in, the officers have been suspended, as per a statement by the city of Tempe. &nbsp;</p>

<p>At the day of the incident, the police responded to a "reported disturbance" between the man and his partner near the artificial lake, the statement said.&nbsp;In the footage released by the city, police officers can be seen speaking to his partner. &nbsp;</p>
