Quarterly earnings for billionaire Gautam Adani's flagship firm, Adani enterprises, fell by as much as 50% as revenues from coal trading dipped. The Ahmedabad-based firm reported a net income of 27.4 million dollars for the quarter ending in September, down from 57 million dollars in the same period last year. Both revenue and total expenses fell by 41%.

As many as three Adani Group stocks - Adani Enterprises, Adani Power Ltd and Adani Wilmar- have been put under the short-term additional surveillance mechanism (ASM) framework, said a circular by National Stock Exchange (NSE). The order will come into effect from Thursday, the circular said.
