<p>Citing officials, a report by NDTV said that the camera had been secretly recording videos and capturing photographs&nbsp;of students, which were later leaked and sold to other students. The report said that a group of female students stumbled upon the camera in their washroom on Thursday evening.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Students launch protest: We want justice</strong></h2>

<p>The discovery (of the hidden camera) led to chaos as students organised a protest that began on Thursday at&nbsp;7 pm IST and went on till Friday morning. The chants of "We want justice" echoed throughout the campus.</p>

<p>The report said that more than 300 photos and videos from the hostel's washroom were leaked.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Accused student arrested</strong></h2>

<p>The police arrested a final-year engineering student from the boys' hostel in connection with the incident. The NDTV report also said that the man's laptop was seized and further investigation was underway.</p>

<p>Some of the institute's students had purchased the leaked photos and videos from the man.</p>

<h2><strong>CM Naidu orders inquiry into case</strong></h2>

<p>Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu ordered an inquiry into the case, a report by News 18 said.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, in a post on X, Naidu's son and&nbsp;state minister Lokesh Nara said, "I asked the authorities for details about the protest of female students at Gudlavalleru Engineering College of Krishna District. I have ordered an inquiry into the allegations of hidden cameras."</p>
