Nathan Ruser, Founding member of the Institute for United Conflict Analysts -- that monitors conflicts, especially Syria and Iraq Telegram -- called Strava&#39;s global heat map &quot;very pretty&quot;.

&quot;US Bases are clearly identifiable and mappable,&quot; he tweeted.&nbsp;

The map highlights areas with maximum activity, something common in inhabited areas as compared to illuminated desert compounds in the Middle East.

Highlighted areas around insurgent-held cities would easily hint&nbsp;at the possibility of a military base in the area, experts reason.

Pentagon&#39;s spokesman noted that the authorities are working toward a department-wide policy to ensure operational security and force protection.&nbsp;
