The hardest problem in healthcare data is not volume. It is that the data arrives in shapes nobody agreed on in advance. Referrals, member surveys and eligibility files land daily from different programs, each with its own structure, and a program can redesign a survey without telling anyone downstream. A single malformed record inside a file of a hundred thousand can run for hours before anything fails, and the retry that follows can leave a member with two histories instead of one. Sai Kiran Yadav works on the entry point where those problems either get caught or get inherited. As a lead data architect at a healthcare technology company working in social care and Medicaid, he works at the unglamorous end of the pipeline, on the argument that almost everything downstream is decided there. The platform moved data from MongoDB through Google Cloud Dataflow into BigQuery. Dataflow transformed nested survey structures into tables that teams could query for reporting and analysis. Restricted access to raw datasets, authorized reporting views, and row- and column-level controls governed which information users could access. Surveys were the first problem. Healthcare survey instruments are stored as deeply nested documents and they change constantly, because each new program adds question types on its own schedule. Conventional extract-and-load tooling has nothing stable to attach to. Yadav built a recursive flattening utility that detects those structural shifts automatically and produces clean, query-ready tables on the other side, which turns schema drift from a recurring outage into a handled condition. Ingestion was the second problem, and the more expensive one. Yadav introduced a staging-first ingestion process that validated incoming records before they reached production. In one representative run, the system identified invalid records within the first minute of processing, surfacing problems that previously could cause failures hours later. The workflow also enabled failed jobs to be reprocessed safely without creating duplicate member profiles. That last property is the one operations teams notice. A pipeline that can be re-run without consequence changes what a bad night looks like: the file goes back through, and nothing has to be untangled by hand afterwards. Above the pipelines sits a consolidation layer. Member and organization data in this sector fragments across legacy systems that disagree about identifiers and hold partial profiles each claiming to be authoritative. Yadav modelled golden records that pull the pieces together, so multiple contact methods, program enrolments and engagement states resolve into a single row per entity rather than a query that has to reconcile four systems at read time. His recovery and validation procedures were adopted as organizational standards, which is a quieter form of impact than a metric: the way the company handles a failed load is now the way he decided it should be handled. Yadav also contributed to enterprise cloud modernization projects, helping migrate legacy reporting systems to BigQuery-based architectures. His responsibilities included designing ingestion strategies, developing data models, and implementing partitioning and cost-aware querying practices. Analytical workloads run without slowing the applications front-line staff depend on, which is the constraint that makes these migrations difficult in the first place. Measured outcomes are specific. His automated pipelines reduced the time required to make survey and engagement data available for analysis from one to two days to under ten minutes. Product and operations teams could access member feedback and engagement patterns sooner, with less dependence on manual exports and data preparation. Engineering support requests fell by about 40 percent, which moved staff off repair work and onto new problems. "Healthcare data systems must make information available quickly, preserve the integrity of member records, and control access appropriately. Reliability also means anticipating failures and making recovery safe," Yadav said. Pressure on the field is getting heavier rather than lighter. More sources need integrating, including electronic records and connected devices. Volumes keep climbing against infrastructure that was not sized for them. Privacy expectations tighten while the threat environment does not improve. Fragmented information has a cost that shows up as staff time spent reconciling records that should already agree. For Yadav, reliable healthcare analytics begins with the way data enters a system. Early validation, clear handling of problematic records, and safe recovery help keep information dependable as programs grow. Looking ahead, he advocates separate processing paths for time-sensitive operational signals and longer-term analysis, supported by shared data-quality and access controls. The goal is to give teams timely information while preserving trust in the records behind it.

Referrals, surveys and eligibility files arrive in formats that change without warning, and a single bad record can take down a job hours after it started. Sai Kiran Yadav rebuilt the entry point so the failures surface in the first minute instead.
