Grammy Awards nominations have now been shifted to December 7 instead of 5 because of scheduled memorial services for former President George H W Bush.&nbsp;

The 61st Grammy Awards nominations will have some categories announced before the rest. While some will be announced live on ‘CBS This Morning’ and on Apple Music at 8:30 a.m. ET, the Recording Academy™ &nbsp;will have others at 8:45 a.m. ET.

The nominations will be announced across all 84 categories.

Earlier this year, the Recording Academy announced several changes to the awards process. The biggest difference is in the number of nominations for the ‘General Field’ categories -- record of the year, album of the year, song of the year, and best new artist -- that will increase from five to eight.

This change is being done as:“(It)will better reflect the large number of entries in these categories and allow voters greater flexibility when selecting this year’s best recordings.”

Meanwhile, the Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on February 10, 2019.

Harkings said that the movement &quot;grew like wildfire&quot; as singers&nbsp;Cyndi Lauper, Rita Ora, Tom Morello and Dua Lipa all announced that they would be joining it.&nbsp;

Rita said:&nbsp;&quot;It&#39;s very important that we stay on their message.&nbsp;The amount of work they have been able to do in just three short weeks is inspiring&quot; before adding &quot;Music artists have a lot of impact ... So it&#39;s only fitting that that music&#39;s biggest night show the support for equality and safety in the workplace and that people need to be cognizant of their fellow employees.&quot;

With 2017 being dogged by sexual assault and sexual harassment&nbsp;cases coming to fore, the entertainment fraternity came out to voice their concerns and stand for victims of abuse.&nbsp;

The 60th annual Grammy Awards will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 29, 2018.&nbsp;
