Columbus Zoo, in the US state of Ohio, has welcomed a new addition to its gorilla family - a critically endangered western lowland baby gorilla born to first-time mother Sue and experienced father Ktembe.

Boston's Franklin Park Zoo welcomed the birth of its first baby gorilla on Wednesday (October 14). The little boy weighed in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces after being delivered by Cesarean section following some unexpected bleeding by his mother, Kiki.
