The relative, identified as Annie Brown, shared screenshots of the text exchange. The Washington Post report said that a call log from the family’s shared phone plan showed a call was made to the school about 30 minutes before the shootout happened. Colt Gray charged with murder Colt, 14, was charged with murder over the killing of two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, outside Atlanta, on Wednesday. His father Colin was accused of second-degree murder for providing his son with a semiautomatic AR 15-style rifle. Both father and son made their first court appearance on Friday and their lawyers declined to immediately seek bail. I’m going to be mad as hell if he did, and then all the guns will go away,” Colin told Jackson County sheriff’s investigator Daniel Miller. Middle school had also been rough for Colt, his father pointed out. The boy had just a few friends and frequently got picked on. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, 54-year-old Colin Gray was charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children. 'Colt used AR platform-style weapon' Investigators also said on Thursday that the younger Gray used an "AR platform style weapon," or semiautomatic rifle, to carry out the attack in which two teachers and two 14-year-old students were killed.
