India and the US are working on a joint mission, where an Indian Astronaut will join a US-led crew and fly to the International Space Station later this year. This mission would serve as a precursor to the Indian Human Spaceflight mission Gaganyaan, which India wants to execute by 2026.

Indian astronauts to train at NASA from August

After reaching the moon, India is now naming for the stars. ISRO revealed the names of 4 astronauts who have been selected to be a part of India’s first manned mission to space. Scheduled for 2025, if the mission succeeds India will become the fourth country to send humans to space after USSR, US and China.
