<p>The last rites of Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh were performed Monday morning at Delhi&#39;s Brar Square.</p>

<p>Sindh died Saturday at the Army Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi on Saturday evening.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He had suffered a cardiac arrest earlier in the day.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Arjan Singh was given a state funeral, and a gun salute.&nbsp;</p>

<p>And a fly-past was held in his honour.&nbsp;</p>

<p>All three chiefs of the armed services attended the funeral.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As did defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and a host of political leaders including former prime minister Manmohan Singh and former deputy prime minister LK Advani.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Singh was famous for the role he played in the 1965 India-Pakistan war.</p>

<p>He had led the Air Force then, and&nbsp;had not let Pakistan gain the upper hand despite it being better equipped with American planes and firepower.&nbsp;</p>
