With the extension of the Blue Line section&nbsp;of the Delhi <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/noida-greater-noida-metro-inaugurated-opens-for-public-saturday-192758">Metro in Noida</a>, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has now become&nbsp;the fifth largest metro network in the world after Beijing, Shanghai, Moscow and London.

The operational network of the <a href="http://www.wionews.com/videos/delhi-metro-train-travels-with-doors-open-4936">DMRC</a>&nbsp;reached over 370 km with the addition of six stations on the Blue Line route.

PM Modi flagged off the Blue Line extension section via a remote during an event held in Greater Noida on Saturday.

"Hon’ble PM inaugurates the 6.7 Km Metro section from Noida City Centre to Sector-63 Electronic City. Now, with an operational network of 375 kms, DMRC becomes world's 5th largest metro network after Beijing, Shanghai, Moscow &amp; London. Heartiest congratulations to Team DMRC!," Durga Shanker Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs tweeted.

The completely-elevated section with six stations-Sector 34, Sector 52, Sector 61, Sector 59, Sector 62 and Noida Electronic City-is expected to&nbsp;benefit the people of Noida and bring the Blue Line close to the recently-opened Aqua Line.
