<p>On her visit to The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kartik's mom revealed that he used to attend coaching classes during his board exam year. She had instructed the teacher to notify her if Kartik was absent.</p>

<p>Once, there was an incident where he left for coaching but never arrived. The next day, after the teacher informed her of his absence, Mala followed Kartik and discovered him playing video games at a parlor. Unable to control her anger, she recalled, “Itna gussa aaya ki kya uthaa ke maar dun, phir maine sandal pehna tha, wahi utara.”</p>

<p>His mom also shared that she was initially upset when Kartik got his first role in Pyaar Ka Punchnama. She said, “Main chahti thi doctor ya engineer bane. 8–10 saal mein thok peet ke engineering karwai ki degree to le le.” She even revealed, “Main apna poora kaam chhod ke Mumbai mein rehti thi aur isko padhaati thi, ki padhaai poori kar le.”</p>

<p>She further added that once, when he went for an exam at DY Patil College in their third-hand car, she was explaining all the important topics before the exam. When he came back after three hours, and she asked him how the paper went, he replied, “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 ki script likh ke aaya hun!”</p>

<p>Apart from this, Kartik is set to star in <em>Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3</em>, slated for a Diwali release, followed by<em> Pati Patni Aur Woh 2</em> and Anurag Basu’s musical love story. He was last seen in the sports biopic<em> Chandu Champion</em>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>India celebrates Engineers&#39;&nbsp;Day&nbsp;on 15 September to mark the&nbsp;birth anniversary of&nbsp;Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a renowned engineer, and Bharat Ratna awardee.</p>

<p>Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was born on 15 September 1861 in&nbsp;Muddenahalli village in Karnataka. He was a&nbsp;prominent engineer, scholar and the Diwan of Mysore from 1912 to 1918. He received the country&rsquo;s highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna in 1955.</p>

<p>Visvesvaraya patented and installed an irrigation system with water floodgates at the Khadakvasla reservoir near Pune to raise the food supply level and storage to the highest levels.</p>

<p>He was the chief engineer responsible for the construction of the Krishna Raja Sagara dam in Mandya district which was the largest reservoir&nbsp;in Asia at the time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He was also the chief designer of the flood protection system for the city of Hyderabad.</p>

<p>Apart from his contributions in the field of engineering, he was also called the&nbsp;&ldquo;precursor of economic planning in India&rdquo;, according to the Institution of Engineers India (IEI). &nbsp;According to IEI, he is best known for his discourse &ldquo;Planned Economy for India and Reconstructing India&rdquo;, a first-of-its-kind to describe the country&rsquo;s planning efforts.</p>

<p>Taking to twitter, Prime Minister Narendra&nbsp;Modi said: &quot;I salute all engineers on #EngineersDay &amp; appreciate their paramount role in the development of our nation.&quot;</p>
