A 14-year-old boy shot and killed his father in South Carolina before driving to an elementary school and opened fire on Wednesday.&nbsp;

 
The shooting ocurred at Townville Elementary in Anderson county, west of South Carolina,&nbsp;Reuters reported.&nbsp;

 
In the shooting, the teenager wounded two children and a teacher before he was stopped by a volunteer firefighter, Jamie Brock, who held him till the police arrived, Anderson County emergency services director Taylor Jones told reporters.&nbsp;

 
&quot;(He) was there in the hot scene and risked his life to mitigate this incident,&quot; Jones said. &quot;He just used enough force to take him to the ground.&quot;

 
One of the victims, a 6-year-old Jacob Hall is in critical condition, Sandy Dees, Greenville Health System spokeswoman said.

 
The boy had driven to the school before crashing on to the fence around the playground. The shooter never entered the building, said chief deputy Keith Smith.

 
Garland Major, Anderson County Sheriff&#39;s Office captain said the relationship between the victims and the shooter was undetermined. The teenager had been home-schooled.&nbsp;

 
Live images from the scene showed a significant number of police officers and members of the Anderson County Sheriff&#39;s Office heavily armed, some wearing helmets and bullet-proof vests, AFP reported.

Local broadcaster WYFF reported that the school was searched by the police and there was no more threat.
