<p>According to an LA-based entertainment website, the next bat crusader will be a younger iteration of the billionaire superhero. Matt Reeves has reportedly turned in a draft of his script over Memorial Day weekend.</p>

<p>This story also sprouts from the fact that a <em>Batman</em> standalone film that was supposed to be directed, produced and starred in by Affleck also sees no light at the end of the tunnel. In December 2016, Affleck was optimistic about the future of the project, but it all changed in the follow-up interview when his spirits regarding the film were down and he was quoted saying: “It’s not a set thing and there’s no script. If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great, I’m not going to do it.”</p>

<p>In 2017, the star announced that he would no longer direct the project and will solely focus on producing and acting.</p>

<p>2017 saw the release of both Marvel and DC films. We asked fans at the Comic-Con to pick a side. And who they thought were upping the game. &quot;Cinematically Marvel is more entertaining. But no one DC comics,&quot;said Sidharth who came dressed as The Joker. &quot;DC has more layers. It is dark. Marvel is just pure fun,&quot; argued a cosplayer who had come dressed as Batman. When we asked him his name, he cheekily replied, &#39;Brude Wayne.&#39;</p>

<p>One would think that a comic convention would have only young adults participating but it was refreshing to see so many middle-aged people participating with equal aplomb. While some had accompanied their children to event, there were others who were there simply for their love for comics.&nbsp;</p>

"Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot shared the first poster of the movie on Friday, ahead of its highly anticipated introduction before fans at the San Diego Comic-Con convention. The image features a profile of the Amazonian superhero in her famous red, blue and gold outfit, clasping a sword against a pink and blue sky, above the words: "Power. Grace. Wisdom. Wonder." "A dream come true! Happy to finally share this with you all," the Israeli actress and model wrote alongside a post of the image on Twitter. Many convention-goers see today's "Wonder Woman" panel as the big event of Comic-Con. It is expected to premiere the first full trailer for the DC movie ahead of its release next summer. Reaction to such new material is being watched carefully by industry analysts. "Wonder Woman" is the first modern superhero movie to focus exclusively on a female protagonist. A misogynist social media backlash against the all-female "Ghostbusters" reboot shocked Hollywood, although much of the criticism arose from the fact that the leads in the original film were men.
