During the proceedings, Li became frustrated with everything that was going on. During one such emotionally unstable episode, he picked Chen on his shoulders and tried to dash out of the courtroom.

Chen became fearful and started screaming. The officials present at the scene stopped Li and reprimanded him.

However, despite this episode, the court did not grant Chen a divorce.

Instead, Li apologised for his actions in a letter and promised that he wouldn't repeat such behaviour.

He further stated that he realises "the seriousness" of his mistake and "its negative impact".&nbsp;

"I guarantee that I will never repeat this mistake in the future," he wrote.

Chen agreed to give Li another chance following mediation by the court.&nbsp;
