“Mom had too many kids…we didn’t have enough beds,” Malaya, who turned 40 last November, told “60 Minutes Australia” speaking about her abusive childhood in the Ukrainian village of Nova Blahovishchenka.&nbsp;

She was quickly welcomed as a part of the “pack” and eventually abandoned her ability to speak for barks and growls in the six years that she lived with her dog and other neighbourhood strays, reported the New York Post.

“I would talk to them, they would bark and I would repeat it,” said Malaya, adding that this was their “way of communication.”

According to the local media Charente Libre, the boy sometimes lived without electricity and hot water in an unheated apartment. He would reportedly wrap himself in several blankets to face the harsh winter months.&nbsp;

<h2>How did no one notice?</h2>

The French media reported that his teachers did not find anything unusual with the boy since he came to school every day, with a smile and was described as a good student.&nbsp;

“He was smiling, a good student, always clean, polite... No sign indicated that he was abandoned,” Mayor of Nersac, Barbara Couturier, was quoted as saying by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero.

While some of his classmates began to doubt how he was living, the boy told him that he ate by himself, took the bus to school alone and didn’t go out otherwise, a classmate told TF1.&nbsp;

It was actually the boy’s neighbours, who would sometimes help by giving him food, who eventually told the mayor who then called the police.

Couturier, according to BFMTV, said, “I met his mom on May 2022. She came to tell us that she had financial problems, and we gave her four vouchers for food, but she took some processed food products instead so that got me suspicious.”&nbsp;

She added, “Some residents told me that there was a child living alone, so I connected the two things and I called the local police and the national police.”&nbsp;

<h2>Mother sentenced to 18 months in prison</h2>

The mother reportedly identified as Alexandra, 39, pleaded not guilty and denied all the allegations laid out by authorities before the court.&nbsp;

During the hearing, she insisted that her son was going to Sireuil – where she lived with her partner – by bus while she followed him on a scooter, but the judges found that hard to believe.&nbsp;

Alexandra also claimed that her son was living with her. However, the French police, upon investigation found she spent her nights in Sireuil and did not take her son to school and none of her neighbours in Sireuil had even seen the boy.

Her lawyer eventually conceded by saying that she is in “denial”. Alexandra was convicted of “abandonment of a minor” and faces 18 months in prison out of which she will spend six months under surveillance with an electronic bracelet.&nbsp;

The child had been placed under the care of social services in 2022 and eventually transferred to a foster family after Alexandra’s custody was removed. She has only seen him twice since the transfer, while the boy has said he does not want to see her.&nbsp;

The police later determined that a significant amount of time had passed since the child’s death due to the state of the body.&nbsp;

The police said that the boy’s body was in a state of decomposition. The investigators&nbsp;found almost no food in the home.&nbsp;

The police also said the boy had lost an enormous amount of weight in the month before his death. The warrants alleged that she had allegedly been starving the boy, but did not say for how long.&nbsp;

The police believe abuse and neglect were contributing factors in the boy’s death, while the official cause of death remains unknown.&nbsp;

&nbsp;Tiwari, “unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did of malice aforethought kill and murder (her son),” said the arrest warrant, as per American media reports. “Without the autopsy, we don’t know how the child passed away,” said Morrisville Police Chief Pete Acosta, as quoted by WRAL.

The 33-year-old was taken into custody on Thursday (Dec 21) morning and charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of negligent child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury, reported Law&amp;Crime citing records.&nbsp;

During a brief court hearing on Thursday, a judge ordered Tiwari to be held without bail. She is scheduled for her next court appearance on January 11.

City officials revealed that Candelario left her child unattended from June 8 to June 16. Upon her return on Friday, June 16, she discovered her daughter&nbsp;unresponsive.

Following the incident, law enforcement authorities swiftly intervened. The toddler was promptly transported from the Cudell neighborhood's 3100 block on West 97th Street to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner by local authorities. However, the medical examiner has not yet disclosed the cause of the toddler's&nbsp;death.

Investigations revealed that the child was severely dehydrated, leading to her untimely demise.

Candelario was apprehended in connection with her daughter's death. Suleyn Gonzalez, a neighbour, informed WOIO, a CBS affiliate, that the grandmother typically took care of the baby in her absence. Gonzalez expressed her dismay, stating, "(The baby's) mom always wanted to go out and just left her with her grandma and all that."

Shortly after the premiere of the first episode of “Allen v. Farrow,” an HBO documentary series that reexamines Dylan Farrow’s decades-old sexual abuse allegations against filmmaker Woody Allen, her adoptive father, a spokesperson for Allen released a statement Sunday night slamming the series, calling it a “shoddy hit piece.”

Letty Aronson, Allen’s sister, sent the statement — attributed to a spokesperson — shortly after the first episode aired, on behalf of Allen and Soon-Yi Previn, the filmmaker’s wife and the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow. In 1992, Farrow, Allen’s longtime girlfriend, learned of the relationship between Allen and Previn when Previn was a first-year college student. That relationship is also the subject of scrutiny in the four-part docuseries.

Neither Allen nor Previn participated in the series, but it does include audio excerpts from Allen’s recent memoir, “Apropos of Nothing.”

“These documentarians had no interest in the truth,” the statement said. “Instead, they spent years surreptitiously collaborating with the Farrows and their enablers to put together a hatchet job riddled with falsehoods.”

On Monday, the publisher of Allen’s memoir, Skyhorse, raised another objection to the series: that the filmmakers had used snippets from the audiobook without permission. In a statement, the president and publisher of Skyhorse, Tony Lyons, said that the “unauthorized” use of the audio in the first episode was “clear, willful infringement under existing legal precedent.”

Lyons said in the statement that the filmmakers did not request permission to use the excerpts and that the publisher learned late last week that the episodes make “extensive” use of the audiobook. The publisher’s lawyer notified HBO on Friday that “if the use of the audiobook were anywhere near what we were hearing, it would constitute copyright infringement,” he said.

The memoir was originally set to be published last year by Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group until dozens of Hachette employees staged a walkout in protest and the publisher reneged. Episode 1 includes extensive interviews with Mia Farrow and Dylan Farrow, who accused Allen of sexual assault when she was 7 years old. It also included interviews with family and friends who said that even before Aug. 4, 1992 — the day that Dylan Farrow says Allen assaulted her — they witnessed behavior from Allen toward his daughter that they saw as inappropriate.

Allen has long denied the abuse allegations, arguing that Mia Farrow had coached Dylan to make the allegations after learning about his relationship with Previn.

In Sunday’s statement, Allen continued to deny the claims.

“As has been known for decades, these allegations are categorically false,” the statement said. “Multiple agencies investigated them at the time and found that, whatever Dylan Farrow may have been led to believe, absolutely no abuse had ever taken place.”

In later episodes, the series raises questions about one of those investigations, in particular: a report issued by the Yale Child Sexual Abuse Clinic, at the Yale-New Haven Hospital, which found Dylan uncredible after interviewing the child nine times during a seven-month period. According to the series, all the contemporaneous interview notes from those sessions were destroyed when the final report was issued.
