<p>The ISRO rocket with <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/every-indian-is-immensely-proud-today-pm-modi-hails-successful-launch-of-chandrayaan-2-237669">Chandrayaan-2 satellite </a>which had developed a snag last week, lifted off successfully from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on Monday afternoon.</p>

<p>ISRO had a lot to cheer about as the Chandrayaan-2 launch ensured India will become the fourth nation to soft land on the Moon which is expected to take place on September 7.</p>

<p>The satellite&nbsp;cost India 603 crore. Chandrayaan-2 will be searching for water on the lunar surface with 15 crucial manoeuvres&nbsp;to take place in the next one and a half months as it lands on the Moon.</p>

<p>After the launch, PM Modi also hailed the liftoff saying it was a "special moments" which would be "etched in the annals of our glorious history".</p>
