<p>Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory Tuesday morning but the customary traffic snarls followed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There was a two-kilometre jam on the Akshardham to Nizamuddin stretch. ITO was also jammed, as was Ashram to DND, NH 24 and Pusa Road.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mayur Vihar Phase I and III, Pusa Road, and the Ranhola to Najafgarh also saw half-hour delays.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Road restrictions will be in place Tuesday to Friday in large parts of central Delhi ahead of Republic Day celebrations and an India-ASEAN commemorative summit.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Monday morning too had seen massive traffic snarls in the central Delhi area after a dress rehearsal of the parade was held.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jams were reported on roads around India Gate, ITO, the Ring Road near South Extention, Lajpat Nagar, and Maharani Bagh and all the way into Noida via the DND.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Incoming traffic from Noida too was affected too due to barricades being put for security purposes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Delhi Traffic Police had on Monday advised commuters to make use of Google Maps to navigate the city&#39;s roads but despite several advisories, news reports said the traffic situation on the ground was nothing short of &quot;chaotic&quot;.</p>

<p>An American woman has been arrested by the Delhi NCB(Narcotics Control Bureau) team reportedly with&nbsp;1.9 kilograms of cocaine worth Rs 10 crores.</p>

<p>The women - named, Stephanie Caprio Policarpio - was allegedly arrested by the police the same day from a hotel in central Delhi&#39;s Paharganj area, reports said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The drug, worth Rs. 10 crore, was smuggled to India from Brazil&rsquo;s S&atilde;o Paulo by Ethiopian airlines, reports indicated.</p>

<p>A large amount of cocaine was reportedly given to Stephanie by a Nigerian national in Brazil.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Reports say that it was discovered from her passport that she had travelled to Spain, Switzerland &amp; Uganda since February 2017.</p>

<p>Delhi NCB has seized 26.34 kg cocaine and arrested twenty foreigners so far this year with most carriers from South America and&nbsp;African countries.</p>

<p>This is the&nbsp;first time an American has been arrested.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NCB says that the route usually taken for drug trafficking is from Brazil&#39;s Sao Paulo to India via Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Adis Ababa.</p>
