Lebanon's media reported that Israel pounded south Beirut as well. The attack killed at least 31 people across the country but mostly in south Beirut, the country's health authorities reported.&nbsp;

Images from the strike showed smoke over the &nbsp;Nabatiyeh, Baalbek, the Bekaa Valley and southern Beirut after the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning, reported AFP.

Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported "a drone strike that targeted a residential complex in Beirut without any prior evacuation orders.&nbsp;

Citing the "current dangerous conditions," schools and other educational institutes in Beirut dismissed the classes.&nbsp;

Reports further said that at least 12 people were dead in the south of Beirut.&nbsp;

The Lebanese army has also suffered from the attack as a few soldiers were reported killed. The exact number has not been disclosed yet.&nbsp;

UN peacekeeping mission expressed concern over the attack on soldiers.&nbsp;

<h2>Deal 'within hours'&nbsp;</h2>

The attack came after the reports of a potential ceasefire deal between Israel and Hezbollah.&nbsp;

Israel's cabinet is expected to meet on Tuesday (Nov 26) to discuss and approve a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah.&nbsp;

The Lebanon government has been further told by the United States that an agreement could be announced "within hours" on Tuesday.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, in northern Israel, residents are reportedly bracing for potential rocket and drone fires from Lebanon amid the reports of a potential ceasefire deal with Hezbollah.&nbsp;

The Home Front Command has adjusted the activity scale in the Golan Heights and northern border communities. The action would restrict holding any large events and would further lead to schools being closed.&nbsp;
