Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has instructed police to ban mosques from broadcasting the Adhan, or Islamic call to prayer over loudspeakers, confirmed a Channel 12 report.&nbsp;

He further directed the police to confiscate the loudspeaker equipment found to be used in the mosques, according to the report.&nbsp;

The mosques found to be using the loudspeakers to call for prayer would also be fined.&nbsp;

Ben Gvir in a post on X, said that he is "proud" to introduce the policy, which according to him, will put an end to the "unreasonable noise from mosques, which has&nbsp;become a hazard for the residents of Israel.”

“In our debates, it arose that most Western countries, and even some Arab countries, limit the noise and have many laws on the matter. It’s only neglected in Israel,” Ben Gvir’s office said in a statement.

<h2>Policy condemned by opposition</h2>

However, the members of Israel's opposition have condemned the policy, including Labor MK Gilad Kariv, who posted on X, saying that Ben Gvir "endangers the State of Israel” and warns that he “won’t stop until in the end, a match sets the barrel on fire.”

Moreover, the leader of the United Arab List condemned the decision and accused Ben Gvir of fuelling divisions and targeting mosques after failing to provoke violence at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque.&nbsp;

"Ben Gvir is constantly trying to sabotage coexistence," Abbas wrote on X.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) also condemned the ban and called for Muslim-majority nations to take concrete action to end the Israeli government’s genocide.

Attacks on mosques, churches, cultural sites, and religious texts are all part of the decades-long Israeli campaign to erase Palestinian culture," CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said.&nbsp;

In a case of alleged discrimination in the US, a 40-year-old Muslim man was removed from a plane after a flight attendant publicly announced his name, seat number and said she would be &quot;watching&quot; him. 
 
The matter came to light yesterday when the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) complained to transport authorities that Mohamed Ahmed Radwan was removed from the American Airlines Flight last December because of his &quot;identifiably Arabic and Muslim name&quot;. 
 
According to federal law, airlines are prohibited from discriminating against passengers based on religion, ancestry and national origin, among other criteria. 
 
CAIR sent a letter to the Department of Transportation (DOT) yesterday urging an investigation and also called for a &quot;thorough examination&quot; into prevailing practices of major airlines, The Charlotte Observer reported.&nbsp;In addition, CAIR said the DOT should develop policy guidelines on objective factors to be looked at while deciding to remove a passenger from a plane. 
 
Radwan, a chemical engineer, said he was flying from Charlotte to Detroit on December 6, 2015, on American Airlines Flight 1821. 
 
As he was taking his allotted seat, Radwan said, a female flight attendant loudly announced, &quot;Mohamed Ahmed, Seat 25-A, I will be watching you&quot;. 
 
After a minute, she repeated, &quot;Mohamed Ahmed, that is a very long name, Seat 25-A, I will be watching you&quot;. Then a third time, according to Radwan, she said, &quot;25-A: you will be watched&quot;. 
 
&quot;I was in total shock. I&#39;ve been flying for over 30 years, and I&#39;ve never heard something like that,&quot; he said. 
 
The flight attendant did not make such a statement about any other passenger, Radwan said. When he asked about her statements, the attendant said she was going to monitor everyone. When asked why she singled him out, the attendant accused him of being &quot;too sensitive&quot; and walked away, he said.

The victim was able to toss his cell phone to someone at the entrance to the mosque on Bintliff Drive and DeMoss Drive , in southwest Houston, and ask them to call 911, the TV station said. 
 
Houston police did not immediately respond to a request for information. 
 
The shooting took place a day after a Muslim man was beaten outside a Florida mosque that had been attended by the gunman who killed 49 people at an Orlando nightclub. 
 
The victim in that case was punched in the head and face outside the Fort Pierce Islamic Center just after 4am on Saturday, the St. Lucie County sheriff&#39;s office said. 
 
Taylor Anthony Mazzanti, 25, was arrested in the attack and was charged with felony battery, the sheriff&#39;s office said. 
 
No racially motivated comments were made to the suspect during the incident, said the sheriff&#39;s office, which added the case is under investigation.
