<p>In an interview with&nbsp;Sydney Morning Herald, Jason confirmed that he landed the role after&nbsp;Aquaman executive producer Zack Snyder invited him to read for the iconic role of Batman. Jason, according to the report knew that he&nbsp;was being booby trapped.</p>

<p>When Jason received an invitation from Zack, he was shocked. He said, &quot;I&#39;m like, what the f**k, I&#39;m not Batman and they said: &quot;listen, it&#39;s just a scene, you go in, you read it.&quot;</p>

<p>He explained, &quot;So I went in and played the rudest, crudest version of what they made for me because I knew it was a booby trap.&quot;</p>

<p>Zack was impressed with Jason&#39;s performance and he cast Jason in&nbsp;both &quot;Justice League&quot; which is due to release and &quot;Aquaman&quot; which is slated for a 2018 release.&nbsp;</p>
