Nearly six years after the tragic death of DJ and producer Avicii, his personal belongings will be auctioned off for a charity. The auction was announced on August 19 by Stockholms Auktionsverk. It will feature personal items that belonged to the Swedish music star, whose real name was Tim Bergling.

The auction, called The Avicii Collection, will include 267 items donated by his family. So now fans can own his clothing, shoes, musical instruments and even some memorabilia from his career.

The proceeds will go to the Tim Bergling Foundation, a charity set up in his name after his death. The auction house has stated that all funds raised will go directly to the foundation and they will not take any commission.

The auction is scheduled for October 1 at Nybrogatan 32 in Stockholm. The items will be revealed on September 6, and the public can view them from September 24 to 29.

Tim Bergling touched countless people worldwide and continues to do so through his music and the foundation his family established in his name," said Cecilia Gave, CEO of Stockholms Auktionsverk. "It is a true honour to support The Tim Bergling Foundation in helping more young people."

Avicii's career included three studio albums and multiple tours that won him fans around the world. His 2013 hit single "Wake Me Up" from the album True&nbsp;was a major success, reaching No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and staying on the chart for 54 weeks.

Despite his success, Avicii struggled with mental health issues and retired from touring in 2016. He passed away in 2018 at the age of 28, with his family later confirming his death was by suicide.

The Tim Bergling Foundation, launched in 2019, continues Avicii’s charitable work. It advocates for recognising suicide as a global health crisis and aims to remove the stigma around mental health issues. The foundation also supports causes Avicii cared about, such as House of Hunger, Feed for America, and RED.
