<p>One of the authors of the report warned that such significant automation of household chores could result in a "whole onslaught on privacy".</p>

<p>"I don’t think that we as a society are prepared to manage that wholesale onslaught on privacy,"&nbsp;Ekaterina Hertog, associate professor in AI and society at Oxford University, was quoted as saying by The Guardian.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hertog further argued that on the different side of the same coin, such automation of household chores could result in improved gender equality since women continue to bear the burden of most of the household work. At the same time, the high costs of household robots could also result in "a rise of inequality in free time" due to limited accessibility of such technology due to costing factors.</p>
