Smoke and flames continue to sweep across Argentina's Patagonia, where wildfires have consumed more than 50,000 hectares of forest this season. The government has declared a state of emergency across the four southern provinces touched by the ravaging blaze.

Southern Argentina is battling a severe wildfire crisis as massive forest fires continue to tear through parts of Patagonia scorching thousands of hectares and forcing evacuations. While rainfall has brought some relief, authorities warn the situation remains critical.

Since the 12th of March, fires are raging in a forest area in Argentina. According to media reports, about 150 firefighters, police and three water bombing planes are working in unison to tame the huge fire that has been raging in country's Northeastern region in a midst of a major drought affecting the entire province.
