<p>Tributes for former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who was passed away on Saturday at AIIMS after a prolonged illness, have been pouring in from across the world.</p>

<p>Among them is Amul India, who also expressed grief over the demise of the BJP stalwart and a persuasive orator.</p>

<p>Taking to Twitter, Amul posted a black and white graphic of Jaitley and wrote, "Tribute to much-respected minister and attorney..."</p>

<p>The veteran BJP leader breathed his last at AIIMS at the age of 66 and was cremated on Sunday at Nigambodh Ghat in the national capital.</p>

<p>In the picture, Jaitely's monochromatic caricature is surrounded by bouquet and flowers, particularly lotus which is also BJP party's symbol.</p>

<p>The Amul advertisement reads "Kamal (Lotus) ke neta. Kamaal ke achievements," which roughly translates to "BJP's leader, remarkable achievements".</p>

<p>Jaitley first became a cabinet minister in the government of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2000.</p>

<p>He then also went on to serve as the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha from June 2009.</p>

<p>He was appointed the finance minister in the first term of Modi government in 2014.</p>

<p>He opted out of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections citing health reasons.</p>

<p>The advertising mascot used by India&#39;s dairy brand Amul turns 50 this October.</p>

<p>The character was conceptualised by Sylvester da Cunha in 1966 along with illustrator Eustace Fernandes and Usha Katrak, among others.</p>

<p>Amul has constantly run into trouble with companies and political parties for their advertisements and campaigns. In 2001, Indian Airlines threatened to pull Amul butter from their airlines after they ran a campaign criticising their strike.</p>

<p>&ldquo;As India gets darker, the campaign is a ray of sunshine to make people laugh about what they are feeling dark about,&rdquo; Rahul daCunha, creative director of daCunha Communications and the man driving the Amul campaign, told ET Magazine.</p>

<p>On the occasion of Amul&#39;s 50 year anniversary, WION looks at some of the company&#39;s advertisements which tickled our funny bone and made a social commentary while promoting the brand.</p>
