Florida is now home to a free health clinic for all. The American Muslim Community Centers Clinic was set up by leaders from the minority community. The clinic has been established with an aim to serve those who are uninsured and cannot afford expensive health treatments. It will offer general health care to people in Orange, Osceola or Seminole counties who either do not have insurance or are earning below 200% of the federal poverty line.&nbsp;

Patients can start taking appointments online, while the nearby Longwood Pharmacy will be providing common prescriptions of medicines for free. The clinic is run entirely by volunteers, including volunteer doctors.&nbsp;

Aimed at providing free health services, the community is hoping that the clinic will help in counter negative stereotypes around their faith. Initially, the health centre will be open only on Fridays, but there are plans of eventually growing to work three days a week. If successful, this would start to function as a regular five-day working center.&nbsp;

AMCC Chairman Atif Fareed told Orlando Sentinel that their goal is to serve humanity. &ldquo;Everyone is welcome. We have over 40 physicians who come to our mosque, and we have 11 of them signed up to volunteer here. So we are very, very blessed,&rdquo; he added.&nbsp;

The clinic has so far been able to raise $250,000 for renovation work. They are currently operating out of a doctor&rsquo;s office.&nbsp;
