A four-year-old boy who fell into a 220-foot-deep borewell in Ambala died despite a massive 19-hour rescue operation involving the Army, NDRF, SDRF and local authorities. The child, identified as Nirvair Singh, was finally pulled out and rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
