<p>A group of friends meeting to commemorate their late friend at an AirBnB faced an absurd experience. As per a Reddit post, a person was asked by the host to pay the outrageous bill of $3000 after he accidentally spilt sauce on the couch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The user could never imagine that such a small incident would account him this staggering amount.&nbsp;</p>

<p>To get out of the messy situation, the user took to Reddit to seek some alternative solution to the fix.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He wrote on the social media platform, “Recently stayed at an Airbnb with some friends as an unofficial memorial for a friend who had passed away. We had more guests there than we were authorized, but nothing wild. Unfortunately, I spilt some sauce on one of the couches. I offered to pay the host for her time and efforts to clean it. I didn't think much else would come of this,” adding “stains can be removed”.</p>

<p>He further described that he received several texts and calls from the host for over two weeks demanding the money to be paid before the next guests arrived to stay, which was within the next three days.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I responded and told her I'd prefer to handle this over the app and make an official damage claim. She said, 'Oh, ok, sorry we couldn't get it figured out,'" said the user.</p>

<p>The next thing the user knows, the host sent a damage claim on the AirBnB app where the lady demanded $3000 and both of her couches replaced as "they were a matching set".&nbsp;</p>
