Iconic rock band AC/DC will be returning to the stage in the US after almost a decade. The band members announced the return recently as part of their Power Up Tour. They announced the dates for their US and Canada leg of the tours starting in April 2025.&nbsp;

The Australian band will visit 13 stadiums across North America, beginning April 10, 2025, in Minneapolis.&nbsp;

The rock band launched their Power Up Tour on 17 May 2024 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, in support of their 17th studio album Power Up, which was released in 2020.&nbsp;

Taylor Momsen-led American rock band The Pretty Reckless served as the supporting act for the European leg of AC/DC's tour.

Rock band AC/DC announces US and Canada tour

Australian rockers AC/DC are mourning the band's original drummer Colin Burgess, who has died aged 77, the group said on social media.

"Very sad to hear of the passing of Colin Burgess," AC/DC wrote on Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook late Saturday.

"He was our first drummer and a very respected musician. Happy memories, rock in peace Colin."

The posts did not disclose the cause of death.

Burgess was a founding member of the group, best known for the 1979 hit "Highway to Hell" and 1980 album "Back in Black", alongside original singer Dave Evans, bass player Larry Van Kriedt plus guitar-playing brothers Angus and Malcolm Young.

AC/DC formed in 1973, but Burgess left the following year, and was eventually replaced by the band's present drummer Phil Rudd.

Burgess also founded the rock band The Masters Apprentices, who were inducted into the Australian music industry's Hall of Fame in 1998.

As per a&nbsp;news agency, Matters was in the band for a short period of time in 1975 while recording the album, 'High Voltage.' He was replaced by Mark Evans just weeks later, apparently at the request of Bon Scott, the band's lead vocalist.&nbsp;

Matters' friend Rod Westcome took to Facebook to reveal the news along with an old picture of the two. In the caption, he wrote, "Shocked and sad to hear of the passing of Paul Matters. I first met Paul in 1973 when he was playing bass in 'Armageddon' at a gig in Hamilton, Newcastle N.S.W. When I was living in Toronto he would drop into the house in the late hours to party and he loved to party." 
 
''In late '75 after he departed AC/DC we played together in a one off band called 'Miss Australia Band' at a gig on a ferry on Lake Macquarie," he continued.

Concluding his message, he said "From all reports, he lived a reclusive life in his later years and his early rock n' roll lifestyle led to ailing health. He will be missed by all who knew him."

Among the hundreds of mourners paying their respects were AC/DC singer Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd and bassist Cliff Williams.

Those at the service were given guitar picks with their programmes, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation said, with Malcolm&#39;s Gretsch guitar, which he called &quot;the beast&quot;, resting on top of his casket throughout.

Young founded the group with Angus in 1973, and was a driving force in making it one of the biggest rocks acts in the world.

Best known for their hit song Highway to Hell, AC/DC produced 17 studio albums, selling more than 200 million records.

Young emigrated to Australia from Scotland with his family as a child, and was in his early 20s when the group released their debut album &quot;High Voltage&quot;.

While Angus was the public face of the band, Malcolm was renowned for being behind the famous riffs that left fans thunderstruck.

He is survived by wife Linda and their children Ross and Cara.
