Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni brought the helicopter shot into the cricketing world and with time it has become a synonym with his name.

Several players, who consider Dhoni their idol, have tried to emulate Mahi's signature shot. While many failed, only a bunch of cricketers succeeded.

Yesterday, during Mumbai vs Chennai game at Wankhede Stadium, Hardik Pandya turned a yorker into a six with a helicopter shot.

The moment did not go unnoticed as many Mumbai fans and few of Dhoni's praised the batsman for his perfection.

Now the question comes who plays the helicopter shot better _ master Dhoni or student Hardik Pandya.

It was a special moment for Hardik also as Dhoni was behind the wicket when the Mumbai all-rounder played the shot.

After the match, an overjoyed Hardik Pandya talked about pulling off his inspiration Dhoni's pet stroke and said that we was hoping for the wicketkeeper-batsman to congratulate him.

Mumbai, who were struggling to post a competitive score, were rescued after a late flourish from Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard helped side set a target of 171.

During his eight-ball knock, Hardik hit one four and three sixes.

Hardik, who clinched three wickets including that of MS Dhoni, was awarded the man of the match award.

Mumbai defeated Chennai by 37 runs and also ended Dhoni-led Yellow Brigade's winning streak.
