
The postage stamp has been issued in the honour of veteran female cricketer Jhulan Goswami on for her contributions in Indian sports.
The stamp was unveiled at the Calcutta Sports Journalists' club in the presence of former India captain Sourav Ganguly.
In May 2017, Jhulan Goswami surpassed Cathryn Fitzpatrick to become highest wicket-taker in women ODI history.
She is also the first woman to take 200 ODI wickets and recently she has been commemorated for her feat in cricket.
The stamp features her photo alongside a photo of the Victoria Memorial in Kolkata.

Jhulan made her career debut in the year 2002 and has taken total 243 wickets including Test and ODI format.
