27-year-old Saina beat Sindhu in straight games 21-17 27-25 in a thrilling 54-minute duel.
"I am surprised with the way I played today. I moved well and picked Sindhu's difficult shots," Saina said after beating Sindhu.
In the men's final, HS Prannoy surprised everyone after he beat Kidambi Srikanth 21-15, 16-21, 21-7 in a gruelling encounter.
