
World number one Novak Djokovic cruised past American Taylor Fritz in straight sets to reach the quarter-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters on Thursday.
In windy conditions, the 31-year-old Serbian defeated Fritz 6-3 6-0 in one hour and eight minutes.
Djokovic will next play tenth seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia. The 23-year-old defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece 6-2 1-6 6-4 to reach his first ATP 1000 Masters quarter-final.
