HIGHLIGHTS: Vidarbha beat Karnataka & IND U19 beat USA U19 by 6 wickets each

Vidarbha lost the first wicket early but then Dhruv Shorey and Mokhade added 98 runs for the 2nd wicket and then Aman Mokhade added 147 runs for the third wicket with R Samarth to bat out Karnataka out of chase. Mokhade eventually got out for 138 but the team only needed 20 odd runs by then. Samarth, staying unbeaten on 76 runs, guided Vidarbha to a 6-wicket win. Abhilash finished with 3/48 for Karnataka.

Mokhade's sensational innings comes to an end in the 42nd over but not before he put his team on the course for a massive win and a place in the final. Samarth, meanwhile, is still batting and will surely be getting his team over the line in this comprehensive win which is just 5 runs away.

Karnataka also amping up the run-rate now. Things looking good at the moment for still 20 more overs to go. Karnataka has also crossed 150-run mark as well. 40 Runs in last 5 overs.

Karnataka reached the team 100 in 22 overs with Nair still on the crease and looking good. Nair is closing in on hie fifty - a vital one at the moment for the team Shrijith, meanwhile, is offering supporting role at the moment and the duo have added 42 runs for the fourth wicket.

A crusial 42-run stand for the third wicket is developing between Nair and Prabhakar but a lot of work still to be done. The batting team, although has crossed the 50-run mark, courtesy a four by Nair and Prabhakar each in 13th over off Nalkande. 29 runs in last 5 overs.

India gave away just 8 runs in the overs from 15 to 20, strangulating the oppostion who crossed their fifty in the 20th over.

Nobody expected how this match is turning out to be. Padikkal, who took 18 balls to get of the mark, was dismissed on the over next ball and Karnataka are now in some early trouble. They do have batting with Karun Nair, who lit up last season of VHT for Vidarbha, is batting with Dhruv Prabhakar who showed intent with two fours in 8th over off Bhute. Nair, however, took 19 balls to get off the mark and hopefully makes it count for Karnataka.

Karnataka has won the toss and elected to bat first in Bengaluru against Vidarbha in the 1st semi-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26. Padikkal has opened the batting with Mayank Agarwal. The duo have been watchful in the first 5 overs with Padikkal yet to open his account after 17 balls - strange for a batter with 721 runs four 4 hundreds in the tournament. Vidarbha bowlers Yash Thakur and Nachiket Bhute must get the word of appraisal too for bowling tight lines and keeping a tab on scoring along with taking a wicket of skipper Agarwal. India U-19 on top of things vs USA in the first 10 overs. The young bowlers have taken a wicket and given away runs at a meagre run rate of just above 3. This is great start by India and not surprising given they are the five-time champions - the most by any team.

Henil Patel (5-1-13-1) struck in the second over of the match and his third ball of the day, dismissing Amrinder Gill for just 1 run. His partner Deepesh Devendran has been effective as well, giving away just 19 runs in five overs, and taking a wicket too.

Both Indian bowlers tied down the scoring and reaped rewards for creating the pressure.
