Neville comparedLiverpool’ssituation to Manchester United from 2001 when Sir Alex Ferguson announced his decision to leave the club. That decision had impacted theclub’sperformance. Ferguson would later announce the retirement in 2013 when United were guaranteed to win the Premier League title.
