Story highlights

Delhi Capitals will face in-form Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 35 on Saturday (Apr 25) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. PBKS will aim to extend their dominance, while DC will look to regain their winning momentum.

Delhi Capitals (DC) have been handed a timely boost in IPL 2026 with the arrival of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc, who has linked up with the squad after recovering from injury. The franchise shared the update on social media ahead of their upcoming clash against an in-form Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 35 on Saturday (Apr 25) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Despite rejoining the camp, Starc is unlikely to feature against PBKS and may instead target a return for DC’s game against Rajasthan Royals on May 1.

The 36-year-old has been sidelined since late January following an intense Ashes campaign, where he was named Player of the Series after picking up 31 wickets at an average of 19.93.

Starc bowled more than 150 overs across five Tests before turning out in five matches for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League. His most recent appearance came against the Perth Scorchers, where he injured his left shoulder and elbow while attempting a catch. Although he took time off in February, persistent discomfort upon resuming bowling delayed his IPL comeback.

His return is expected to strengthen a Delhi Capitals side currently placed sixth in the IPL 2026 points table.
