New Delhi witnessed light drizzle on Tuesday evening bringing some relief from the rising mercury levels in the city.
On April 20, the mercury had crossed the 44-degree Celsius mark. It was the hottest April day since 2010 when the temperature had settled at 43.7 degrees Celsius.
According to the India Meteorological Department,monsoonrainsare expected to be at an average level this year.
