A Pakistancourt todayissued bailable arrest warrants for ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif in two cases of corruption.
"The accountability court issued bailable warrants for the former prime minister in two cases of alleged corruption today and adjourned thehearing until November 3," Sharif's defence lawyerZafir Khan said.
The court asked Sharif to appear before it on November 3.
Sharif had resigned in July after the Pakistan Supreme Court had disqualified him from holding office over an undeclared source of income emanating from the Panama Papers leak.
Sharif is currently in London with his wife Kalsum who is undergoing cancer treatment.
The Pakistan court had indicted Nawaz Sharif in the offshore investments case and the London flats case.
The court charged Sharif in absentia for holding assets beyond his known sources in the Flagship Investments and offshore investments case.
Sharif through his lawyer had pleaded not guilty in the case.
In another grafts case, the Pakistan court had found the former PM along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz and her husband Muhammad Safdar guilty in the London flats case.
The case relates to properties owned by the Sharif family in London's upscale Park Lane neighbourhood.
