A helicopter carrying several people crashed in New York City's East River on Sunday (March 11) and police and fire department divers were in the water around the partially submerged aircraft, according to officials and media reports. Knife attacker shot dead outside Iran ambassador's Vienna residence: Police

A 26-year-old Austrian was shot dead outside the Iranian ambassador's residence in Vienna on Sunday night after he attacked a guard with a knife, police said. The assailant "died on the spot" after the guard opened fire, police spokesman Harald Soeros told AFP, adding that the attack took place just before midnight local time in a residential area.

3 terrorists killed in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir

Russia: 'Ideal' hypersonic missile successfully test fired

Russia said Sunday it successfully launched a hypersonic missile which President Vladimir Putin called "an ideal weapon" as he unveiled a new array of next-generation arms earlier this month. The high-precision Kinzhal (Dagger) missile was launched from a MiG-31 supersonic interceptor jet that took off from an airfield in the South Military District in Russia's southwest, the defence ministry said.
