Meanwhile, several reports speculate that Shiv Sena was thinking on contesting the elections all alone, without the alliance partner BJP.

Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray has reportedly asked his partymen to remain prepared to contest the upcoming assembly election without an alliance with the BJP, a report stated.

The two parties are under tussle over the number of seats for the polls.

Days before, sharing a stage with PM Modi, Thackeray had said that the alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena for the assembly election was "inevitable".
