The body of a teenage Indian girl, who went missing from Adelaide's most popular beach on Sunday, has been recovered.
Police divers recovered the 15-year-old soccer player's body on Monday morning.
The desperate search for the 15-year-old began on Sunday evening after the youngster and her friends got into trouble at Glenelg Beach around 5.50 pm.
The teenager, in Adelaide for the Pacific School Games, was swimming with a group of four friends - also junior sports stars - when they got into trouble on Sunday.
Surf lifesavers were able to pull the group from the water, but an emergency search for the girl had to be called off late on Sunday evening because of poor light.
As of Monday, two of the 17-year-old girls from the group remains at the Flinders Medical Centre, with one in a critical condition and one of the teens remaining in a stable condition.Another 17-year-old girl is at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition and a 12-year-old girl is at the Women's and Children's Hospital in a stable condition.
Three children have tragically drowned at the popular beach since 2007.
