Union home minister Rajnath Singh arrives in Srinagar on 4-day J&K visit, meets CM Mehbooba Mufti

Union home minister Rajnath Singh, who arrived In Srinagar today on a four-day visit of the state, met Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti.

The home minister who is accompanied by union home secretary Rajiv Gauba will meet all stakeholders to find a solution to the problems being faced by the people of the state.

Rajnath Singh will also meet the Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra.

He will also visit the border areas in the Jammu region.

The Jammu and Kashmir government arrested Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Yasin Malik on Thursday.

The home minister's visit comes at a time when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has cracked down on the separatist leaders for their alleged involvement in terror funding.

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik was arrested on Thursday as he along with Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had threatened to hold a march to the NIA headquarters in Delhi on Saturday.

The protest march was announced against NIA's raids at various locations in Kashmir and Delhi in relation to the terror funding case.
